Install on macOS
Cloud Link for macOS is one signed and notarized universal DMG for Apple silicon and Intel. It installs the menu-bar app and bundled OpenCode and cloudflared tooling.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- macOS 15 or newer.
- Apple silicon or Intel.
- An active Cloud Link subscription in OpenCode Mobile.
The pinned cloudflared binary sets the macOS 15 minimum.
Install
Section titled “Install”- Download
opencode-cloudlink_darwin_universal.dmg. - Optionally verify the file with the matching
.sha256sidecar. See Install overview. - Open the DMG.
- Drag OpenCode CloudLink into Applications.
- Open the app from Applications.
The app starts quietly in the menu bar. Closing its window hides it; it does not quit the connector.
First connection
Section titled “First connection”- Click the menu-bar icon.
- Choose the pair action to show a temporary QR code.
- In OpenCode Mobile, open Settings → Cloud Link and subscribe or restore your purchase if needed.
- Scan the QR code.
- When the connector shows the claiming device, review its name and choose Approve.
The tunnel starts only after approval. A pairing code expires after five minutes and can be used once. Use Pair device to generate another code.
The quick start has the full cross-platform flow.
Daily use
Section titled “Daily use”The menu-bar popover shows OpenCode, Tunnel, Proxy, and Keep awake status. Use it to:
- connect or disconnect the tunnel;
- retry after a failure;
- open the managed OpenCode web UI in its own window;
- show or copy the remote browser URL and credentials;
- regenerate the browser password;
- open Settings.
See User manual and Settings reference.
Start at login
Section titled “Start at login”Open Settings → Startup and enable Start automatically on login. The connector launches quietly for the current user. On macOS the login item is a LaunchAgent that can restart the app after an unexpected exit; an explicit Quit keeps it stopped.
Keep awake
Section titled “Keep awake”Settings → Power → Keep awake can prevent idle sleep while agents are active or while a remote device is connected. It is off by default and battery-aware. It never overrides display sleep, explicit sleep, or a closed lid.
On Linux the equivalent setting needs systemd-inhibit; on macOS the app uses
caffeinate.
Uninstall
Section titled “Uninstall”- Open the menu-bar popover and choose Quit.
- Move OpenCode CloudLink from Applications to the Bin.
- Optionally remove saved state and credentials:
# Review before deleting: this removes pairing identity and settings.rm -rf "$HOME/Library/Application Support/opencode-cloudlink"Saved credentials live in the native macOS credential store and may need to be removed separately. Removing the app does not delete the machine in your Cloud Link account. Delete the machine in OpenCode Mobile to retire its tunnel and DNS record.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- The app does not appear: launch it again from Applications and check the menu bar.
- Pairing does not start: open the popover, check the status message, and choose Pair device.
- The app cannot use the credential store: unlock the login keychain and retry. Cloud Link does not fall back to plaintext storage.
- A port is already in use: stop the other process, or change the OpenCode or proxy port in Settings while disconnected.
- No connection after a crash: macOS normally relaunches the app. If you quit it, start it again.
