Quick Start

This is the shortest path from a new download to a connected machine. For platform-specific details, use the macOS, Windows, or Linux install guide.

  • An OpenCode project on a computer or server that can stay online.
  • OpenCode Mobile installed from the App Store or Google Play.
  • An active Cloud Link subscription (€2.99 per month), purchased or restored in the app.
  • The Cloud Link connector for your platform.
  • A working internet connection on both devices.

The mobile app’s Cloud Link section is available only in store-installed iOS and Android builds. Direct APK, F-Droid/FOSS, and web builds hide the subscription and machine-management surfaces.

Download the package for the machine that runs OpenCode:

Keep bundled tools together with the connector. On macOS and Windows the installer places the app and its sidecars for you. On Linux, extract the whole archive rather than copying only the binary.

Launch the app:

  • macOS: open OpenCode CloudLink from Applications. It appears in the menu bar.
  • Windows: launch OpenCode CloudLink from the Start menu. It appears in the notification area.
  • Linux: run ./opencode-cloudlink run --working-directory /your/project in a terminal.

On first launch the connector shows a temporary pairing QR code. It has not published your machine yet.

3. Subscribe or restore in OpenCode Mobile

Section titled “3. Subscribe or restore in OpenCode Mobile”
  1. Open Settings → Cloud Link.
  2. Choose Subscribe and complete the App Store or Google Play purchase, or choose Restore purchases if you already subscribed.
  3. Return to the Cloud Link section and keep it open for pairing.

Opening the section does not request camera access, purchase a subscription, or pair a machine. Those actions happen only after you choose them.

  1. Keep the connector’s QR code visible on the computer.
  2. In OpenCode Mobile, tap Scan QR code.
  3. Scan the code.
  4. On the computer, review the device name and choose Approve. Choose Deny if you do not recognize the device.
  5. Wait for the app to save the machine credentials and connect.

The tunnel does not start until you approve. Pairing codes expire after five minutes and work once. If the code expires, choose Pair device in the connector to generate a fresh one.

Open the machine in OpenCode Mobile. A healthy connection shows the project list and can start a session. In the connector, the OpenCode, Tunnel, and Proxy status rows should all report ready.

If the app opens but no project appears, refresh Projects. If the connector is retrying, open the popover and choose Retry after fixing the reported problem.

Use a read-only request for the first check, such as:

Inspect this project and summarize its purpose. Do not change files.

Confirm that the response arrives and that no files changed. Then try a contained implementation task and review the diff before accepting it.
